Ariana’s Favourite Christmas Gifts

I thought I’d share my favorite finds this year in case you’re still looking for the perfect gift.

Advent Calendars

I’ve ordered advent calendars for Greg, all three boys, and even Willow the dog!

I went down to London recently into the huge beautiful Selfridges and found this gorgeous, eye-catching organic chocolate calendar from Le chocolate des francais for Greg, it’s sold out in Selfridges now but you can find it on Trouva – I just couldn’t leave it behind it was so pretty looking.

I bought a little furry friend Calendar made by Lily’s Kitchen in Liberty’s also available on Amazon.  We know we spoil Willow but she is just too precious with her little spotty nose.

For the boys (two of them anyway) it had to be Pokémon related and I found these amazing construct ones from Amazon, they’re not cheap but I know they’ll play with the toys after they’ve built them all year!

For Kit my middle son who is a huge Harry Potter – Amazon came up with the goods once again.

As for me, I can only hope Greg has found something lovely….if I were to splurge on myself it would definitely be this 25days of beauty advent calendar from Net-a-Porter. Or the slightly more reasonable 24days of beauty from Anthropologie.

Festive Dressing

Last year was the first time we didn’t buy a real tree. Greg has always loved the magic of a super bushy huge tree (as huge as the room will allow!) and there’s always a Grizzwalds family Christmas vacation vibe of slight disaster when it didn’t fit, or we didn’t have a base or Greg was out in the below zero weather backdating away to make it shorter etc!!

I was keen to avoid that and discovered the amazingly realistic Pre-lit Trees from The White Company so we invested last year and by the end of this Christmas, it will have been worth it and will have it for years to come!

I have a treasured gold star I bought several years ago from Nkuku that goes on the top and as well as having many childhood scandi vintage decorations, I always buy at least a couple of new ones each year.

Liberty, Sass & Belle and Oliver Bonas all do lovely ones but this year, I have fallen in love with these Soho Home glass baubles.

I have a lovely navy and gold table runner and palm leaf napkin rings with “more wine please” navy and gold embroidered napkins for my Christmas table, but I loved the look of this Christmas table and may have to invest in a few pieces from this collection from ARKET.

For the kids

For the boys, there will be a lot of lego and Pokémon little bits and pieces and the new Pokémon game for the Nintendo Switch from Amazon

but I also have these fab new Mini Yoto Portable Players in my basket for Kit and Ezra. Super exciting plus they come in so many cute colours!

The boys are obsessed with hot water bottles at the moment and I got these cute fluffy bunny ones for Ezra and Kit recently but Rex just had a very generic cover so this Christmas he’s getting this cute Hedwig Owl Hotty from M&S and think it’s also available at Argos.

For Willow

As for Willow our gorgeous pup, it’s her first Christmas with us so she’s getting spoilt! As well as her advent calendar filled with doggy treats, I wanted to get her a new lovely comfy bed that would replace her night time crate but matched her living room and found this gorgeous one from my favourite shop Mungo and Maud.

Who also sell beautiful Crotchet Bone & Ball Dog Toys with squeakers inside.

They are quite indulgent pressies but they are well designed and made to last, an investment for our little girl.

In order to keep her smelling and feeling fresh, I also grabbed their Almond Dog Shampoo which smells so incredible I was almost tempted to try it myself! As well as this matching Treat Bag and Poop Bag Holder that clip onto her lead from William Walker, a stylish practical approach in long-lasting leather.

My Wishlist

Now for my wish list this year, which I’ve left not-so-subtle hints about….

My new favourite dress designer is Stella Nova, I found this gorgeous winter dress on Trouva.

I’m obsessed with the colours this year and also loved this gorgeous cardi from one of my fave shops Bimba y Lola (Kit always asks why everything I wear says Bimba y Lola on it 😂 ).

As well as this pair of Hiking Boots I found on Boden, as Greg and I are getting really into walks on the beach where we live in the Wirral but also in the Welshman mountains. I also love these Mango trainers for everyday, school runs, work commute, everything.

I have Beats wireless headphones which I love but if Greg plays his cards right he’ll be getting these new Noise-canceling Sony Bluetooth Headphones I found in trusty John Lewis!

I think that rounds up my top few ideas that cover the whole family, the dog and the house, Merry Christmas everyone, roll on the first viewing of home alone!
